I have a question, do you all have any reinforcement activities for older kids, like 9-12 years of age?

Shandra thanks for the question! Reinforcers for older kids can be difficult, but things they may like are treasure boxes (they can work for things like silly bands), candy (but if you are a student the university may not allow it), or if you have a computer or an ipad try games (they have to complete x number of tasks to get 4 turns at angry birds). Hope that helps!

Hello,

I am a CDA student studying in Ontario and for one of our assignments we need to come up with activities for 5 language goals. So far I've been able to come up with ideas for 4 of the 5 goals, but I'm stuck on the last one. The goal is for a 3-year-old girl to add 20 new words to her expressive vocabulary. I was just wondering if you have any ideas on activities, that would be wonderful.

Thanks for all of your help, your site is awesome and I am now following you on pinterest.

Hi Ladies,

I would love to share the link to some of your great Dr. Seuss material on my website www.littletalkers.com. I just started this free website where parents can watch free videos to facilitate speech/language and early literacy skills. Reading is so important to that. I would love to link on my blog portion (and mention you on Facebook) to your website.

Thanks,

Hi ladies! I have a question for you. I am currently a second year SLP graduate student and I am in search for some sort of website/blog that evaluates all assessment tools (e.g., PPVT). My professors have stressed to us that there are good and not so good assessment tools out there and that we should learn what tests to give, depending on the child/adult (you may give a specific test to a child if you are trying to qualify them for services). Have you found any resources that help to separate out the good and bad assessment tools?

Thanks!
